Owned by the
Arcangues family, living in region since 1170 (their castle is still on the
course) and giving their name to the village, Arcangues golf course is a hilly
course with many slopes and where strategy requires a large diversity of
strokes. Even though the course itself is short, the bunkers and greens have
been thoughtout carefully, which is typical of its architect Ronald Fream, and
makes Arcangues a true challenge (slope over 140).
Several holes
offer a panoramic view on the course with the Pyrenees mountains
overlooking the region. It is one of the most beautiful courses of Basque
country, with a typical clubhouse offering a warm and lively
atmosphere.

natural valley site with oak trees over hundred-year-old, Bassussary golf course
will appeal to golfers of all levels.
Rocky Roquemore,
who also designed San
Lorenzo, has harmoniously enhanced
the area by designing a wide range of holes with wide and sloping fairways,
under the shadow of the Pyrenees mountains
and…Luis Mariano, buried in the cemetery overlooking the
course.
