Kylemore house was built by Lord Ardelaun in 1785 and is the former residence of the famous Irish writer and poet Oliver St. John Gogarty. This impressive Georgian house now offers a high standard of accommodation in this beautiful setting on the shores of Kylemore lake

There are 6 ensuite bedrooms. All our bedrooms have been renovated to a high standard with spacious ensuites and lake view as standard. They are all individually decorated

                                       

 

Golf

 

Connemara Golf Club: The par 72 is rarely achieved on this most challenging Atlantic championship links. This could be influenced by the invigorating air and breathtaking scenery, but more probably due to the vastness of the last six holes. Greens set high in the hillside on the 14th and 15th can be unnerving, particularly after playing the most testing short 13th! Take time, however, to marvel at the splendid scenic backdrop of the Twelve Bens, etched against the skyline, or Ballyconneely Bay , dusted with pure, white sand.

                                      

 

Carne Golf Links at Belmullet. Carne was the last links course to be designed by the late Eddie Hackett and is now believed by many who have played there to be his greatest challenge. Carne lies in splendid isolation overlooking Blacksod Bay , affording little disturbance to the natural and unspoilt environment that surrounds it.

                                     

 

Enniscrone , another of Irelands great West Coast links courses. Where the quality of the golf is matched by the surroundings, with the Ox mountains on one side and Killala bay stretching out to meet the Atlantic Ocean on the other side.

                                            

 

County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point, annual host to the West of Ireland Championship and unquestionably one of Ireland 's best golf courses. Located on an unspoiled piece of land, the course offers holes in many directions, making the Atlantic wind a constant and challenging factor.
